Partizan 2019

Despite many efforts to better it, Partizan (and the Other Partizan) still set the standard for wargames shows in the UK, and this year's first installment was no exception with a wide variety of demonstration games, participation games and traders attending.

I tagged along with some fellow members of Peterborough Wargames Club so that along with Mike Whitaker we could do some "schmoozing" for the Club's own Hereward show (September 1st - see you there!).

The rest of the PWGC contingent were running Andy MacDonald's 28mm scale Sudan participation game which uses Dan Mersey's "The Men Who Would be Kings" rules. The game proved to be very popular with a good crowd of players around the table all day. No doubt this swayed the judges as the game was awarded "Best Participation Game".

Despite the usual tempations shopping was kept to a minimum! I cam home with a set of Oil Storage Tanks and some crates and barrels in 6mm scale from Leven Miniatures which I'll be using to augment my Sarrisa Cruel Seas MTB pens scenery piece, and a 7TV Time Lift Security starter force for Crooked Dice's 7TV game.
